Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Large package of over 1 billion families for 1 million families
PESHAWAR: A package of more than Rs 1 billion has been approved in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for financial assistance to 100,000 eligible families.
According to details, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa adopted a major package for the deserving people to help the people in the difficult situation arising out of Karuna.
A meeting of Zakat and social welfare chaired by the Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan was held today, in which a special financial aid package was approved for one lakh deserving families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This package is worth Rs. 1 billion 20 crores.
Under the package, the amount will be paid in two installments of Rs. 6,6,000. The amount will be paid through the District Zakat Councils and local Zakat Committees.
According to the KP government, 29,000 families are already registered, work on the identification of the remaining eligible families will start soon. In this regard, the Chief Minister has directed that the distribution of aid be initiated without delay.
He said that in every way to ensure that the people receiving the assistance received, food was being provided to the people in the locked-down areas, Mahmood Khan said in the present situation, There is a great sense of distress, all the resources will be utilized to give maximum relief to the people.
